The PV-klubben almanac 2002 
Translation of texts in the PV-klubben almanac 2002. The almanac was distributed to members of the Svenska Volvo PV-klubben with the PV-Entusiasten # 4 2001.



Most pictures in this years almanac come from
the archives of the Swedish magazine the
Motor.

January
Caltex engineers testing a prototype mixture of the new brand of petrol called Boron. The test car is a 1958 PV544 A

February
The Pastellvägen road in the southern suburb Johanneshos in Stockholm.
Besides a PV445 with estate coachwork is a Scania Vabis truck, Austin A40 and A30, Saab 93, Simca 8, Goliath and more.

March
"The Federal Car Inspection has recently moved to it's own new facilities in Solberga, located in the southern suburbs of Stockholm. There is a scale in the big light test hall and here is engineer Evert Källström inspecting a Volvo" (1957 PV444 LS)

April
Roland Holm of the Royal Swedish Automobile Club (KAK)
inspecting wheel alignment on a Renault. His car is a 1957 Duett.

May
The street crossing Rådmansgatan - Drottninggatan in Stockholm.
The oldest car is a Chevrolet from 1933. The younger ones are Vauxhall, Chevrolet 1954, Ford Taunus, Mercedes Benz 300, Morris Minor and of course Volvo PV 444 and 445.


June
Sweet Sonja Wennermark has done her trip with a glass of water and now she has to pour the contents into the measuring glass without spilling any drops.
The competition is the Motor woman of the year 1958. Sonja is driving a PV 444 HS from 1954.

July
Strawberry fool and milk on a camping holiday.
The Duett is from 1953.

August
Small work in workshop of the Volvo dealer Ernst Nilson at
the Hälsingegatan in Stockholm.

September
One of the elements in the competition Motor woman of the year.
The competition was arranged by the Swedish Motormens association and the newpaper the
Dagens Nyheter. From the finals at the Östermalm sports arena in Stockholm Saturday September 19 1959.
The car is a Duett 1956.

October
Car accident with a PV 444 KS 1956 on the old road between Stockholm and Uppsala, at that time highway 13.

November
One the first export PVs on it's way to the USA in 1955.

December
The Swedish Rally 1960. The second from last curve before the small town of Norrala, north of Söderhamn. The car is a PV 544 A Sport from 1958.
