November gray and cold Nothing is like usual this autumn. Here in Arvika it has been cold and wet one day but sunny and warm the other. So it has been impossible to everything as planned. I had planned to put away the PV for the winter last weekend, but instead I took a trip in the nice weather. My daughter is about to take her driving license and since she is very self-assured she asked for driving lessons in the PV. What does a good father do then? Naturally I answered lively - Sure. I was a little nervous when putting the green "Driving lesson" sign in the back of the 1952 PV. How did it end? Excellent, or course and I can only hope that a few miles in a "real" car with power steering and pedal resistance will help her to pass the exam later on. As you have noticed not only the weather has been changing, but also the magazine publication the last six months. Our good intention to maintain the publication also after Marie Eriksson quit the layout job was turned down. In order to find a solution the board had invited editor Svante Hansson to the October board meeting. And behold, Svante brought the solution with him. His name is Anders Pleijel, an Stockholm member who has answered our "ad" in the PV-Notiser when we looked for help with the layout work. Anders has the good qualities being a PV enthusiast; he has good computer knowledge and some time to spare. Anders will introduce himself later on. You will have to excuse us for having some problems with the publishing days in connection with the change of layout. It takes more time than you can imagine editing an issue of the PV-Entusiasten so it is both readable and good-looking. Even if you members often send well written and good material to the magazine it has to be converted to magazine text. This takes a lot of work in a layout computer program. In order to reduce workload for the layout our writers is working to learn the layout work, in order to be able to do some layout works them selves. But in the end one person has to be responsible for the final product. About the PV-Notiser: In order to reduce irritation of delayed ads and information de beard has decided to give priority to the publication of the PV-Notiser in the future. If there are no strikes within the mail or in the print shop you will have it in time next year. We will be very precise on deadlines so editor Mikael Hall will be able to put make magazine in time. In return you will be able to know what week you will receive the PV-Notiser in the mailbox. This way we will all be able to plan ahead owe can reach out with information before it is obsolete. By the way: Merry Christmas. I hope you have not forgotten to with PV-things from Santa. I also wish you welcome to year 2002 and the 25:th year of the PV-klubben.
