The last issue ... again
English translation of the story
"Sista tidningen -- igen"
in the PV-Entusisten # 3 1999 page 3.
By Dan Jansson
This is the last issue of the PV-Entusiasten that I will edit. Now other people will
have to continue the work.
Have you heard it before?
Oh yes!
When I left the duty as editor of the magazine last spring I did not expect to be back
in office again – even if only as a "Stunt Man" – after only one year. I thought I had
produced my last issue.
Things did not turn out that way.
When Fredrik Westin had to leave the office of editor with short notice I promised the
board of the club to produce two issues of the magazine.
Now those are completed.
Until next summer I will work with the new club directory that is scheduled to be
published in the summer of 2000. Before the directory is ready for publishing, there
is a lot of work to be done. After the New Year we will distribute a request to all
members with all the fact we have in the members and car database.
After that, all changes and corrections shall be entered into the database. This will
be a huge job for our fantastic Club Registrar, Mr. Börje Eriksson in Borlänge.
If you have changed your address, obtained an email address, bought or sold a car
or maybe even completed a restoration, you can already now send correct data to
the club members register.
Also the facts portion of the directory has to be revised. New pictures and
illustrations shall be obtained and finally all of this information shall be gathered in a
complete book. If all of this works out, the plan is to have the book ready for
distribution before the summer season next year.
I also want to take the opportunity to wish the new chief editor Mr. Svante Hansson a
hearty welcome to his new position, together with the new group of editors. I would
also like to remind all of you members all over the world that you can contribute in
making the PV-Entusaisten a good magazine worth reading by writing, taking
pictures and sending articles to the editors.
