Hi all PV-freaks. A special Hi to You who have the P1900 as a favourite.
These pictures are taken in Älvdalen in Dalecarlia, well known for the Hagstrom
harmonica factory, its own ancient language and more. The pictures show my father
Jan Erik Hansback and my younger brother Anders who are posing in P 1900. As
far as I can remember, it was light blue.
At that time, the picture was shot around 1962 - 63, my father was a sales manager
for the N.G Andersson Cars Sales Ltd in Rättvik. the company sold General Motors
products. My father had traded the car for some sort of new Opel as far as I can
remember. At that time the P 1900 was not very high rated. My father was ordered
by Nisse his boss to go down to "the crazy people in Stockholm" damn fast and
trade that plastic bathtub, which he also did to the dismay of me, my mother and
brother. We thought the P 1900 was great.
This is my first contribution to the PV-Entusaisten, despite being a member for 15
years I have to admit.
Anyhow - better late than never.
More will come.
I have been "infected" by the car-bacilli since I was a child and have had several
different vehicles since I was 18 years old. One of them was a P1800 I owned while I
was in military service in Östersund.
The PV attracted my interest when I did not deem to afford to have a Yankee car any
longer. I was comforted by the opinion that the PV is a miniature 1946 Ford.
The Volvo PV became a very pleasant companion that has been with me for so long.
And still is.
At present time I have no PV but I will not coop with that for so much onger. So if
anyone of you has a car in good condition without an engine, I am interested.

According to the registration card for W18976 the car has chassis number 16. It
was owned for one year from the autumn of 1958 by mrs Margareta Skoglund in
Leksand.
In August 1959 it was registered on N. G. Anderssons Bil AB in Rättvik. It was
traded by a car dealer in Stockholm.
In 1960 it was registered on Jan Tolförs in Orsa. In August the same year the car
was taken off the registry.
It was however not scrapped.
According to the P1900 issue of the PV-Entuasiasten published in 1991, # 16 was
bought by Lars Lindström from Söderköping who owned the car until Stig
Pettersson in Sexdrega bought it in 1991 and started a total restoration that was
completed in 1993.
Many of you have probably seen this nice P1900 in some meeting.
Please note the tubular bumper over-rider and the V in the grill.
